I'm so happy you found your way here! My name is Nichole, I'm a 23 year old portrait and wedding photographer based in Manhattan, Kansas. I started Maryse Photography two years ago and I've been loving every moment of this adventure ever since.

When it comes to photography, my philosophy is that it shouldn't just be about staged and professional headshots. Photography should be about capturing moments and experiences, full of personality and specifically customized for each individual person.

I hold my background in photojournalism very close to my heart, so I can promise that I'll take photos that are capturing you as you are, documenting important life events and making sure that each photo feels authentically you.

I started taking photography seriously when I started college at the University of Iowa in 2019. I was a photographer at the Daily Iowan and I mainly photographed sports and arts. I fell in love with photographing men's basketball, travelled to New Jersey to photograph the Big Ten wrestling championships, and got a taste of what it was like to take photos for a professional newspaper-- I covered everything from theater dress rehearsals to political town halls prior to the 2020 election.

My background with photojournalism is what really prepared me for wedding photography and sets me apart from other photographers. I've been trained to capture every moment of high intensity events and it's given me an eye for the little details that really bring everything together. I have the experience and the training necessary to capture every special moment of the day in its entirety.
